The European Commission recently announced its “REPowerEU” proposal to reduce dependence on Russian gas, which puts green hydrogen as a central pillar of its plans, drastically accelerating the trend.

Green hydrogen is now no longer a tool for decarbonisation but a tool for energy security.

What is making the trend stick is that rising fossil fuel prices are rapidly improving the economics of green hydrogen relative to other forms, which was previously one of the biggest challenges.

We look forward to speaking to Phil Caldwell, CEO of Ceres Power for an update on the company’s progress, and also Chris Jackson, CEO of Protium for a holistic take on the hydrogen sector and the velocity of the trend.
